Thanks once again to New York City Opera for including my writing in this season's gorgeous NYCO Souvenir Guide and in the September 2003 Playbill. "That Old Black Magic" is a close-up on sorcery in Handel's "Alcina," which opened the season. "Call Me Crazy, But..." accompanies director James Robinson's stunning "Lucia di lammermoor." Both essays appear in the Performing Arts submenu of The Words.
New on WattWork.com this fall is a submenu called WorldWatch, on The Words page, in which we'll be filing thoughts, links and commentary on our world and what's ailing it. "Sharing the Wealth" is a look at the new hybrid information paradigm called Knowledge Management.
Also updated is the Cancer submenu, with essay fragments and reflections on life before, during and after Osteogenic Sarcoma. Check out Repose, Twister, Pirate , Go to Sleep, Kid , Standing Around , and others.
Ciao for nao!
